Reflecting On Senator Kennedy’s 81st Birthday

Senator Kennedy would have turned 81 today -- February 22, 2013.

The Senator's commitment to public service and his belief that America could fulfill its promise to all its people were without equal.

To celebrate his legacy today, we thought we'd share with you this touching tribute video first played at a celebration of his 77th birthday.

In the days ahead, the Senate, and Washington as a whole, will confront monumental questions over immigration reform, gun violence, and fiscal priorities, as well as a perennial debate over whether to increase the minimum wage. In the debates, Senator Kennedy's legacy will continue to be felt, and it lives on in all those committed to making government work for all Americans.
