Join us for a FREE open house – Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 10 AM – 3:30 PM

Come and enjoy our exhibits, family-friendly activities, and programming throughout the day in the Senate Chamber.


Special Programs for ALL Ages

10:30 AM: Future Senator – Ages 8-11

Consider whether the federal government should make the school day longer, and cast their vote in our Senate chamber.

11:00 AM and 1:30 PM: Guided Tour of Exhibits – All Ages

12:00 PM and 2:30 PM: Today’s Vote: Federal Voting Rights – Ages 11-Adult

Participate in a simulated live Senate floor debate to share ideas and perspectives, and then cast your own vote.

1:00 PM: Welcoming Words Story Time for Young Visitors – Ages 5-8

 Learn about the Statue of Liberty and what it means to welcome others, and work on a creative activity.

Senate Chamber: Sit in the world’s only full-scale replica of the United States Senate Chamber and learn about its history. Stay for a Today’s Vote program to cast your vote on the future of Voting Rights!
